Application Manager

Tasks

As an Application Manager, you are responsible for resolving complex legacy system issues and delivering robust, scalable Java-based solutions. Your responsibilities include:

• Client and Stakeholder Management (Internal and External)
• Requirements analysis, effort estimation, planning, scheduling, progress management
• Building and maintaining strong project teams and robust communication structures
• Technical and architectural design development, adherence to architectural guidelines, and challenging the status quo

Regulatory Responsibilities & Risk Management

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing risks, including:

• Demonstrating values and behaviors, including confidentiality, integrity, data protection, and fair treatment of customers
• Management of Conflicts of Interest, Competence, and Continuous Professional Development
• Appropriate risk management and compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements

You should meet the following requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in development using Core Java and Java EE
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial sector
• At least 2 years of experience with TOG
• Very well organized and quality-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
• Ability to translate functional requirements into efficient and practical technical solutions

Technical requirements

You should meet the following technical requirements:

Must-Haves:

• Core Java 8+ and Java
• Strong knowledge of computer science (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
• TOG, with the ability to write acceptance tests
• Maven
• Basic Linux Shell Scripting Commands
• Java Messaging Concepts (JMS, MQ)
• Relational database concepts, SQL, joins, indexes, triggers, etc.
• Web Services (REST, SOAP)
• Spring Core Concepts
• Experience in optimizing SQL queries
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, Git, SonarQube/SonarLint

Must-Haves:

• Knowledge of JBOSS (or another application server)
• Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Java Server Faces, JPA, and EJB
• Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries
• React JS or Angular
