Application Manager

Tasks

• Lead the analysis and resolution of highly complex legacy defects that medical developers are unable to analyze or resolve
• Become an influencer and help improve the engineering practices of existing developers
• Build a reputation within the organization for being a technological expert by solving problems that others struggle with
• Develop using Java, EJB, Spring Boot, MySQL, and IBM MQ
• Understand business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and reliable
• Ensure compliance with banking standards (including code, security, and performance)
• Analyze, design, code, and configure complex end-to-end applications
• Work collaboratively with teams to achieve goals
• Investigate and resolve production issues to maintain a stable production environment

Client and stakeholder management

• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with finance, business change engineers, and project managers to steer and manage IT deliveries
• Analyze requirements, estimate effort, plan timelines, and track progress
• Build strong project teams and maintain clear communication about the project status throughout the entire lifecycle
• Drive technical and architectural designs forward and review them

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

• Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including standards of conduct and integrity

Requirements

Professional

• At least 5 years of experience in development using Core Java and Java EE
• At least 2 years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Be respected and admired by your colleagues; you can influence and drive projects forward to achieve key milestones and overcome challenges
• Be able to translate functional requirements into efficient and effective solutions
• Preference for experience in the financial or banking sector

Technical

• Core: Java, Java 8+, and JUnit
• TDD: Able to write acceptance tests
• Maven
• Java Messaging Service (JMS), MQ
• Relational databases: SQL, JDBC, indexes, triggers, etc.
• Web Services: REST, SOAP
• Spring Core Concepts
• Experience in optimizing SQL queries
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, Git, SonarQube/Sonar.Lint

Desirable

• JBoss (or experience with other application servers)
• Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Java Server Faces, JPA, and EJB
• Able to write or understand complex SQL queries
• React JS or Angular
