Tasks

• Tracking Software Engineering Playbooks within a PIBS component
• Learning About Aspects and Functional Modules of Complex Legacy Stack Systems
• Leveraging in-depth expertise in Java systems and related components within the technology landscape under the IT functional management framework

Requirements

Functional / Technical

• Thirteen years of professional experience as a Java developer (with a background in systems development)
• Comprehensive knowledge of software: algorithms; data structures; object-oriented design

Basics/Java

• An enthusiast and self-motivated practitioner of new technologies (through the use of prototypes and/or ideation)
• Part of the overall process of making extensive use of technology within the organization (through the use of prototypes and/or ideation)
• Understanding of modern enterprise Java infrastructure, using technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, and TomEE
• Knowledge of serverless/cloud-native architectures and frameworks, such as serverless technologies and containers like OpenStack, Mesos, and Test, etc.
• Expertise in Java (and the Java EE platform), such as Java ME and Jakarta EE
• Strong understanding of protocols (SSTP, SOAP, UDP, ICMP, ICMP, SNMP, syslog)
• Effective Code Organization
• Expertise in SQL queries and schema design
• Familiarity with tools such as SonarQube, Trac, and Jenkins

Desirable

• Knowledge of Java EE/Jakarta EE would be a big plus
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JHipster frameworks
• Knowledge of microservices and the virtualization of services and the underlying application (such as AWS, Azure)
• Experience in R&D/Agile
• Fluency in several languages
