Application Support Engineer – Securities Finance (FIS SFT/CIAPEX/Finance)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Application Support Engineer for its Securities Finance department in Zurich, who will serve as an expert on the securities lending and borrowing solution (FIS SFT). The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting colleagues, identifying areas for improvement, and participating in agile processes.

Tasks

  • Supporting colleagues in their daily work and conducting investigations as needed
  • Identifying areas for improvement and proposing recommendations to enhance systems and processes
  • As a member of our agile organization, participate in daily routines and ceremonies and contribute your expertise to quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning
  • As a member of the Global Products & Solutions Technology team, I serve as the local point of contact between our team, Central IT, and external vendors

Requirements

  • 5+ years of practical experience as an IT engineer, support engineer, and/or IT administrator in a financial environment
  • Knowledge of the Securities Lending and Borrowing solution (FIS SFT), formerly APEX Collateral Management (FINACE), is required
  • Training in a technical field, an associate's degree, or equivalent education or experience
  • Basic knowledge of database development, SQL, Unix, scripting, and Java is a plus
  • Experience as a DevOps engineer and with CI/CD, as well as the ability to troubleshoot general IT issues
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), or similar qualifications are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management, business units, IT teams, and external vendors
