Application Support Specialist - 2nd Level Support 100% (F/M/D)

Tasks

• Processing incident tickets generated by monitoring systems and the local service within agreed-upon SLAs
• Effective coordination and communication between incident managers, application owners, third-level support, other IT/Agile teams, and business stakeholders
• Covering periodic on-call shifts (weekly 24/7 rotation)
• Managing change requests and ensuring that application-related changes are implemented properly
• Participation in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments
• Contribution to projects related to the operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications
• Performing routine data cleansing and system maintenance
• Promoting process optimization and the automation of recurring tasks, including handoff to L1 (Control Center)
• Maintaining and updating the documentation on application operations and the knowledge base
• Providing support for planning and monitoring batch jobs (e.g., automated AWS CLI tools)
• Use of observability and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Dynatrace to monitor system health and troubleshoot incidents

Requirements

• Completed IT training (degree in computer science or an equivalent IT-related program that includes software engineering)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in application support
• Strong Linux skills (shell scripting is an advantage)
• In-depth knowledge of the Windows operating system at the server level
• Ability to perform database operations and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting and maintenance
• Familiarity with Java application servers, databases, and workload automation tools
• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes
• Strong written and spoken English skills
