Application Support Specialist - 2nd Level Support 100%

Tasks

• Processing incident tickets generated by monitoring systems and the local service desk within agreed-upon SLAs
• Effective coordination and communication between incident managers, application owners, third-level support, other IT/Agile teams, and business stakeholders
• Covering periodic on-call shifts (weekly 24/7 rotation)
• Managing change requests and ensuring that application-related changes are implemented properly
• Participation in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments
• Contribution to projects related to the operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications
• Performing routine data cleansing and system maintenance
• Promoting process optimization and the automation of recurring tasks, including handoff to L1 (Control Center)
• Maintenance and updating of the application operations documentation and the knowledge base
• Providing support for batch job scheduling and monitoring (e.g., Automatic WA-A for batch processing tools (AWA))

Requirements

• Completion of an IT degree program (degree in computer science or equivalent IT certification)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in application support
• Strong Linux skills (shell scripting is an advantage)
• In-depth knowledge of the Windows operating system at the server level
• Familiarity with Java application servers, databases, and workload automation tools
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Experience in batch job support and with scheduling tools (Automatic AWA, Control-M, or similar)
• Ideally, experience in the banking or financial services sector with knowledge of financial products
• Process-oriented and analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
