Application System Administrator (Full-Time) (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Application System Administrator (full-time position) to manage applications and systems, including supporting batch jobs and optimizing processes. The position is a fixed-term contract through May 31, 2028, with the possibility of extension.
Tasks
- Manage change requests and ensure that application-related processes are carried out properly
- Participation in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments
- Collaboration on projects related to operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications
- Performing routine data cleansing and system maintenance
- Optimization of processes and automation of recurring tasks, including handover to L1 (Control Center)
- Maintaining and updating application operational documentation and the knowledge base
- Providing support for batch job scheduling and monitoring (e.g., Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar tools)
Your qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in application support and/or system administration in complex IT environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux; experience with shell scripting is a plus
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
- Practical experience with Java-based application servers, relational databases, and workload automation tools (experience with Automic AWA is a plus)
- ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)
- Experience with batch job support and scheduling tools such as Automic AWA, Control-M, or equivalent
- Professional experience in the banking or financial services industry, including familiarity with financial products, is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and coordinate effectively across IT functions
- Strong process orientation combined with an analytical approach to problem-solving
