Asset & Liability Manager - Finance, Treasury, and Credit 100% (f/m/d)

Julius Baer is seeking an Asset & Liability Manager (100%) in Zurich who will be responsible for the strategic management of treasury assets and liabilities as well as proactive risk management. The position requires at least four years of experience in treasury or credit and a degree in finance or economics.

Tasks

  • Responsible for safeguarding the bank's financial integrity through the strategic management of treasury assets and liabilities, as well as by contributing to proactive risk management and strategic financial planning.
  • Overseeing asset-liability management within the Treasury P&L and the Finance Department.
  • Design and oversee the analysis, reporting, marketing, and leverage optimization of the treasury portfolio and non-consolidated entities in the Finance P&L.
  • Leading initiatives to develop data models to improve treasury and credit analyses, as well as to automate and optimize reporting processes.
  • Ensure end-to-end execution of credit risk reporting, including the preparation and dissemination of insights to first- and second-line stakeholders, in accordance with internal governance requirements.
  • Lead or support strategic projects and work streams in the areas of Treasury and Credit—potentially with cross-functional teams—to optimize financial structures and process capabilities, thereby contributing to improved financial resilience and strategic growth.
  • Contribute to a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • Relevant advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field; additional professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are preferred.
  • At least 4+ years of professional experience in treasury, credit, or a related finance role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to analyze and interpret complex metrics in dynamic economic conditions.
  • In-depth knowledge of treasury and balance sheet management, including the principles of capital management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in automating, standardizing, and optimizing financial processes and workflows using digital tools and data-driven approaches to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare and present information in a clear manner tailored to the target audience.
