Asset Management - Institutional Hedge Fund Solutions - Executive Director

Tasks

• Responsibility for commercial and client-related relationship management activities, as well as for the approval and disposal of investments across multiple hedge fund portfolio risk and asset classes.
• Focus on acquiring business and serving customers from Asia.
• Responsibility for asset growth across a cluster of hedge funds, tax products, and segments.
• Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to support and maximize the growth of portfolio and tax assets through detailed customer segmentation and appropriate prioritization of coverage.
• Initiating, managing, and maintaining a client base of hedge fund tax accounts.
• Manage all customer proposals in Sales. Leverage JPM's capabilities to grow the business.
• Leading all proposals and client presentations with colleagues, as well as preparing and submitting recommendations.
• Presenting portfolio, market, and management commentary to clients and sales and distribution teams to build relationships and position JPM products or strategies (digitally or in person).
• Development of business ideas in areas such as investment risk, communications, and regulatory matters.
• Presenting relevant and well-thought-out sales pitches to customers and stakeholders.
• Manage clients within their pipeline (P&L, positions, quotes, inquiries, win/loss analysis, ratings, and risk management strategy), as well as transaction size, leverage, and risks, as appropriate for each client.
• Building relationships and partnerships with legal departments, clients, and investment managers.
• Research on customers and transactions, capability analysis, and portfolio management/workflow execution.
• Gaining expertise in markets and products to support the client portfolio.

Requirements

• A successful initiative in the areas of hedge funds, global macro, or other investment strategies, principles, and risks.
• In-depth knowledge of hedge fund and tax strategies, and the ability to adapt expertly to tax market trends and client needs.
• Ability to drive process improvements.
• Outstanding business acumen and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of all areas (macro- and microeconomics), the ability to negotiate proposals, data, projects, and terms, and to personally drive proposals forward in partnership with other tax colleagues.
• Ability to motivate the client to grow their portfolio and increase its value.
• Excellent, persuasive, and competent oral presentation and tax negotiation skills.
• It is desirable to have a tax talent pool that spans the entire organization in order to reach tax clients.
• Solid knowledge of regulations and compliance, and the ability to be a market leader.
• Proficiency in English. Basic knowledge of Mandarin, Korean, and/or Japanese is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree / three to four years of relevant experience in the hedge fund/tax field.
• The candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of initiative, curiosity, and a drive to learn.
