Legal assistant

BCV is seeking an administrative or legal assistant to handle administrative and logistical tasks within the department and support the legal team in their daily work. The ideal candidate will have a business background, at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, and knowledge of the banking or legal sector.

Tasks

  • Handle and manage the various administrative and logistical tasks related to the department's activities
  • Provide support to legal professionals in their day-to-day work
  • Process requests for information from civil or criminal authorities
  • Processing requests for asset seizure from the debt collection offices
  • Update the department's various reports
  • Manage billing and track costs and provisions
  • Prepare and format PowerPoint presentations
  • Proactively seek ways to optimize existing processes and the tools available, and implement the desired improvements

Requirements

  • A business degree and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of the banking and/or legal sector
  • You enjoy working as part of a team and are eager to share your skills
  • You are known for your ability to handle stress, your willingness to help others, your diligence, and your discretion
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You demonstrate thoroughness, precision, and strong organizational skills
  • You are comfortable using computer software (including Access)
  • You have excellent spelling skills and strong writing abilities in French; knowledge of a second language (German or English) is a plus
