Assistant Relationship Manager (Full-Time) (m/f/d) - Ireland

Julius Baer Bank is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager (m/f/d) for its branch in Ireland to support one or more Relationship Managers in their day-to-day work and to handle client administration and support. The ideal candidate should be friendly, trustworthy, and discreet, with a strong awareness of risk and a strong commitment to service.

Tasks

The duties of the Assistant Relationship Manager include:
  • Supporting Relationship Managers (RMs) and Team Heads (THs) in day-to-day operations, administration, client care, and relationship management
  • Interaction with internal and external stakeholders, client administration, and relationship management

Client Administration & Management

The tasks in this area include:
  • Supporting RMs/THs in client interactions and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents, etc.) with high quality, precision, and prompt responsiveness
  • Managing RMs'/THs' calendars, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client calls, meetings, or business trips for RMs/THs
  • Preparation of presentations, assistance with the development of investment proposals, and support with marketing activities as needed (client receptions, meetings, business trips, events, etc.)
  • Ensuring coverage in the event of one's own absence

Business Management

The tasks in this area include:
  • Regular collection and exchange of relevant information necessary for the work
  • Organizing one's own work in an efficient and compliant manner and ensuring that the supervisor is informed in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Conducting reviews, planning ahead, and documenting one's own work at all times
  • Support for RM/TH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Providing professional input or suggestions for improvements based on experience, incidents, or observations
  • Administration of the expense accounting process for RMs/TH

Risk Management & Controls

The tasks in this area include:
  • Active support for risk management (supporting the "first line of defense"), e.g., with client documentation, by raising concerns, tracking issues, and escalating matters when there is uncertainty
  • Ensuring adherence to local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards (e.g., opening new accounts, issuing payment instructions, reviewing client phone calls, or signing off on matters within one’s own authority, etc.) in collaboration with the respective RMs and THs
  • Ensuring that outstanding issues and escalated defects are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensuring appropriate ethical and compliant conduct within one's area of responsibility
  • Ensuring that client interactions and client orders are documented accurately, meaningfully, and clearly in the appropriate tool (e.g., CRM, DMS)
