Assistant Relationship Manager (Full-Time) (m/f/d)
The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers in their day-to-day work, client support, and relationship management within Julius Baer’s Private Banking division in Luxembourg. The role includes responsibilities such as client administration, prospecting, risk management, and compliance, as well as participating in client meetings and calls.
Job description
The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) in Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) or Group Heads (GH) in day-to-day operations, administration, client care, and relationship management. The ARM interacts with internal and external stakeholders and provides support to clients.Tasks
- Supporting Relationship Managers (RM) and Relationship Manager Assistants (RMA) in their daily work:
- Proactive, high-quality services and a prompt response to clients and prospects in all related tasks,
- Participation in client meetings, phone calls, and business trips
- Active participation in prospecting activities (market research, event planning, attending events, contact management, etc.)
- Active participation in all graduate training programs and local "learning tour" programs offered by the various relevant departments in Luxembourg
- Learning about Julius Baer's offerings and utilizing key Julius Baer research publications
- Proactive networking within the bank
- Ensuring compliance with legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations, and policies, etc.
Business Management
- Regular collection and exchange of relevant information necessary for the work
- Organizing work in an efficient and compliant manner and ensuring that the supervisor is informed in a timely and appropriate manner
- Conducting inspections, planning, and documenting work at all times
- Support for RM/TH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
- Providing professional suggestions for improvements based on experience, incidents, or observations
- Management of the expense reporting process for RMs/TH
Risk management & controls
- Active support for risk management (supporting the first line of defense), e.g., with client documentation, by raising concerns, tracking issues, and escalating matters when uncertainty arises
- Ensuring adherence to local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards (e.g., opening new accounts, issuing payment instructions, reviewing client calls, or signing off on matters within one’s own authority, etc.) in collaboration with the respective RMs and THs
