Assistant Relationship Manager (80–100%) for the Zurich Desk (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager (80–100%) for the Zurich Desk to support one or more Relationship Managers with day-to-day operations, administration, client service, and relationship management. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in the banking industry, relevant education, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Job description

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) in Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) or Team Heads (TH) with day-to-day operations, administration, client care, and relationship management.

Tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Supports RMs/TH in client interactions and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents, etc.) with high quality, precision, and a prompt response
  • Coordinates client requests (reporting, statements, mailings, etc.)
  • Manages the calendars of RMs/THs, prepares for client meetings (organizes business trips, handles follow-up on client calls, client meetings, or business trips for RMs/THs)
  • Creates presentations, assists in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities as needed (client reception, meetings, business trips, events, etc.)
  • Ensures coverage in the event of your own absences

Business tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager is responsible for the following business tasks:
  • Regularly collects relevant information necessary for the work
  • Organizes itself in an efficient and compliant manner and ensures that the supervisor is informed in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Conducts inspections, plans ahead, and documents his work at all times
  • Supports the implementation of projects and initiatives by RM(s)/TH
  • Provides professional input/suggestions for improvements based on experience, incidents, or observations
  • Manages the expense reimbursement process for RMs/TH

Risk management and controls

The Assistant Relationship Manager is responsible for the following tasks in risk management and internal controls:
  • Actively supports risk management (by bolstering the first line of defense), for example in client documentation, by identifying concerns, tracking issues, and escalating matters when uncertainty arises
  • Ensures compliance with local regulations and internal policies and standards (e.g., when opening new accounts, reviewing client phone calls, or signing off on matters within their area of authority, etc.) in collaboration with the respective RMs and THs
  • Ensure that outstanding issues and escalated defects are resolved promptly
  • Ensures that ethical and compliant behavior is demonstrated within his or her area of responsibility
  • Ensure that the documentation of client interactions and client orders in the relevant tool (e.g., CRM, DIAS) is accurate, meaningful, and clear
