Assistant Relationship Manager (80–100%) for the Zurich Desk (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager (80–100%) for the Zurich Desk to support one or more Relationship Managers with day-to-day operations, administration, client service, and relationship management. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in the banking industry, relevant education, and excellent communication skills in German and English.
Your challenge
Your responsibilities include:- Support the Relationship Manager (RM) or Team Leader (TH) in client interactions and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents, etc.) with a high level of quality, precision, and responsiveness
- Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
- Managing the RM/TH's calendar, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client calls, client meetings, or business trips for the RM/TH
- Preparing presentations, assisting with the development of investment proposals, and supporting marketing activities as needed (client receptions, meetings, business trips, events, etc.)
- Ensuring coverage during your own absences

Your responsibilities include:- Regular collection and exchange of relevant information necessary for the work
- Organizing one's own work in an efficient and compliant manner and ensuring that the supervisor is informed in a timely and appropriate manner
- Conducting reviews, planning, and documenting one's own work at all times
- Supporting the RM/TH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
- Providing professional suggestions for improvements based on experience, incidents, or observations
- Management of the expense reporting process for RM/TH
Risk management & controls
Your responsibilities include:- Active support for risk management (first line of defense), e.g., in client documentation, by raising concerns, tracking issues, and escalating uncertainties
- Ensuring adherence to local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards (e.g., opening new accounts, issuing payment instructions, conducting regular client calls, or signing off on matters within our area of expertise, etc.) in collaboration with the respective Relationship Manager (RM) and Transaction Manager (TH)
- Ensuring that outstanding issues and escalated defects are resolved in a timely manner
- Ensuring appropriate ethical and compliant conduct within one's area of responsibility
- Ensuring that client interactions and client orders are documented accurately, meaningfully, and clearly in the appropriate tool (e.g., CRM, DIAIS)
