Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports the Relationship Manager in achieving business objectives and offers comprehensive private banking services to meet a variety of wealth management needs. The position requires close cooperation with various departments and compliance with internal guidelines and external regulations.

Tasks

  • Introduces the bank and its banking services to potential customers.
  • Supports the Relationship Manager in achieving their business objectives, such as NNA/revenue targets.
  • Offers comprehensive private banking services to meet diverse wealth management needs.
  • Performs KYC/AML due diligence checks on customers to comply with bank policies and conduct regular reviews.
  • Conduct the Investment Risk Profile Questionnaire with clients to review and update their investment product suitability, risk tolerance, and investment experience.
  • Coordinates with the bank's investment units, such as the treasury department and the global product unit, to pass on product information and market commentary to customers.
  • Monitors customer portfolios and accounts to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Prepares and maintains proper records, including but not limited to account documentation, CIP, IRPQ, credit applications and relevant documents, trade transactions, and call logs.
  • Accepts, confirms, and executes customer investment orders, including but not limited to money market, securities, investment fund, and foreign exchange transactions.
  • Coordinate with the credit department to ensure that all customer credit applications are processed properly.
  • Participates in internal and external training sessions and meetings, when possible and necessary.
  • Performs general ad hoc tasks, such as routine follow-up and administrative work.
  • Provides support for ad hoc IT projects to improve or upgrade current IT systems, if necessary.
  • Serves as a substitute for other assistant relationship managers when necessary.

Requirements

  • university degree
  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience in private banking
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Professional qualifications, such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF), are an advantage.
