Assistant Relationship Manager for the Middle East & Africa team 100% (f/m/d)
The Assistant Relationship Manager will support Relationship Managers and Global Heads in day-to-day operations, administration, client servicing and relationship management for clients in the Middle East and Africa. The position requires relevant experience in the financial sector and excellent communication and service skills.
Job description
Tasks
- Supports Relationship Managers (RMs) and Global Heads (GH) with client interactions including system input, document management, file management and ensuring high quality, accurate and timely execution
 - Customizes customer requests such as reporting, statistical analysis and mail distributions as needed
 - Manages RM/GH calendars, arranges client meetings and business trips, and performs follow-up tasks after client contacts or trips
 - Prepares presentations and assists in the development of investment proposals and marketing efforts, including client events, receptions and business trips
 - Ensures continuity of responsibilities through proper handover agreements during periods of absence
 - Proactively gathers relevant information, organizes self efficiently and keeps superiors informed in a timely manner
 - Conducts regular work planning and review, maintains thorough documentation and supports RMs/GH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
 - Identifies potential for improvement based on operational experience or observed incidents and provides constructive recommendations
 - Takes an active role in risk management by monitoring client records, addressing issues, escalating concerns when unsure, and resolving pending items or deficiencies in a timely manner
 
Requirements
- Possesses a friendly, trustworthy and discreet manner, combined with high service orientation, personal integrity and a strong awareness of risks and ethics
 - Consistently communicates in a professional, courteous and confident manner, building relationships while maintaining discretion and trust
 - Works systematically, accurately and diligently, is able to deliver high quality results under pressure and is committed to continuous process improvement
 - Has relevant education (e.g. banking apprenticeship or equivalent) and experience in the financial sector, with a proven track record of managing complex private banking client relationships, including onboarding and retention
 - Has solid knowledge of private banking products, services and global financial markets, as well as an awareness of the legal, regulatory and cultural context of the operating region
 - Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); additional languages such as Arabic are an advantage
 - Shows initiative by contributing ideas for improvements based on practical experience and customer insights
