Assistant Relationship Manager, Intermediaries (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

As an Assistant Relationship Manager for Intermediaries, you will support the Relationship Managers in managing financial intermediaries and efficiently handling client inquiries in Zurich. The position requires in-depth knowledge of financial markets, experience working with intermediaries, and fluency in German and English.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Supports the RM and the team in all aspects of client interaction
  • Answers incoming calls and takes prompt action; reports to the RM
  • Maintains and updates records of client instructions, details, and preferences.
  • Provides clients with verbal and/or written information and data, without offering investment advice or making any value judgments
  • Processes orders, trades, transactions, and payment placements (outside of e-channels) and executes clients' requests
  • Helps promote the use and adoption of our dedicated Intermediaries & FO e-channels
  • Monitors the maturity list for deposits, loans, and trades, and takes action as instructed; seeks instructions (from the relationship manager or client) if necessary and required
  • Organizes and follows up on client meetings, including logistics and documentation
  • Supports the RM in investigations and troubleshooting, maintaining close collaboration within the bank
  • Full adherence at all times to compliance requirements, legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations, and procedures is necessary
  • Serves as a first line of defense against risk by raising concerns and following up on issues

YOUR PROFILE

  • Fundamental knowledge of financial markets: structure, function, and legal/regulatory environment, as well as industry awareness
  • Proven experience working with financial intermediaries, such as multi-family offices and/or wealth managers, ideally in a private banking or asset management setting
  • A thorough understanding of relevant products and services that apply to IAM principles
  • Excellent communication skills, able to speak in public, independent, reliable, and self-directed; excellent sense of urgency and quick decision-making—proactive, eager to learn, and willing to continue developing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, acting with courage and initiative, team-oriented with a cross-team mindset
  • An exceptional focus on customer service, a commitment to service excellence, and a keen eye for detail.
  • A strong business focus and the ability to understand the business implications of changes in client needs and requirements (monitoring, planning, and implementation).
  • Provides system-based solutions rather than advice or personal opinions
  • Customer service orientation – advice and opinions are provided with discretion and care
  • E-channels are standard and offer a high degree of accuracy and precision
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
  • Proven experience with key preparation and follow-up procedures to facilitate the reconciliation of discrepancies and any discrepancies between the bank's internal cross-team and cross-departmental systems.
  • Knowledge of systems, regulations, and policies for handling cross-currency transactions and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Strong proficiency in German and English (spoken and written)
