Assistant Relationship Manager - Intermediaries
The Assistant Relationship Manager - Intermediaries will support Relationship Managers and the team in dealing with queries from intermediaries and end clients on trading and operational aspects. The focus is on ensuring smooth operations and quick, competent and complete responses.
Job description
Tasks
- Client Administration & Management:
- Supports the Relationship Manager (RM) and the team in all aspects of customer interaction
- Answers incoming calls and takes immediate action
- Manages and updates records of customer instructions, details and preferences. Creates system based reports for the RM
- Provides verbal and/or written information and data to clients without giving advice or opinion as a value judgment
- Processes orders, trades, transactions, payments (outside of e-channels) and executes customer requests
- Helps promote the use and adoption of dedicated intermediaries & FO e-channels
- Monitors the maturity list for deposits, investment products, derivatives, structured products where instructions are standard, seeks instructions (from RM or client) when necessary and required
- Business Management:
- Organizes and follows up on customer meetings, including logistics and document preparation
- Supports the RM in investigations and troubleshooting, maintains close internal cooperation between teams/departments
- Risk Management:
- Full adherence to compliance, legal guidelines, internal rules, regulations and policies
- Is a first line of defense against risk by raising concerns, tracking issues and escalating when necessary
- Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management:
- Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Requirements
- Professional:
- CA(CS) Papers 1 and 2
- Preferably with CMSRA modules 1B, 5, 6A, 8A certification
- Working knowledge of T24, Olympian and TEMOS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Basic knowledge of financial markets: Structure, function and legal/regulatory environment as well as industry awareness
- Basic understanding of relevant products and services applicable to EAM clients plus valuation principles
- Strong language skills in English (oral and written) and other languages depending on market requirements
- Education & Experience:
- A good university degree in finance, economics or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a private banking structure
- Understands the EAM industry, business requirements, competitive landscape
- Good product knowledge of private banking solutions, investments, offerings, etc.
- Solid affinity with the geographical market to be covered
- Excellent organizational skills, can work quickly, independently and accurately within the Assistant RM area, even under pressure
