Assistant Relationship Manager - Intermediaries
The Assistant Relationship Manager - Intermediaries supports the Relationship Manager and team in dealing with queries from intermediaries and end clients on trading and operational aspects. The focus is on ensuring smooth operations and quick, competent and complete responses.
Job description
Tasks
- Supports the team and Relationship Managers (RMs) with all inquiries from Intermediaries & FOs and end clients on trading and operational aspects
- Ensures smooth processing and fast, competent and complete responses
- Tasks include, among others:
- order processing
- Processing customer inquiries
- Execution of payments
- Placement of loans and deposits
Client Administration & Management
- Supports the RM and the team in all aspects of customer interaction
- Answers incoming calls and takes immediate action
- Maintains and updates records of customer instructions, details and preferences
- Creates system-based reports for the RM
- Provides customers with verbal and/or written information and data without offering advice or opinions as value judgments.
- Processes orders, trades, transactions, payments (outside of e-channels) and executes customer requests
- Promotes the use and adoption of our dedicated intermediaries & FO e-channels
- Monitors the due date list for deposits, bonds, trades, takes action on standard instructions, weekly instructions (from RM or customer) when necessary
Business Management
- Organizes and tracks client meetings, including logistics and document preparation
- Supports the RM in investigations and troubleshooting, maintains close internal cooperation between teams/departments
Risk Management
- Full adherence to compliance, legal, internal rules, regulations, and policies
- Is a first line of defense against risk by raising concerns, tracking issues and escalating when necessary

Requirements
Professional
- CACS Papers 1 and 2
- Preferably with CMFAS modules 18, 5, 6A, 8A certification
- Working knowledge of T4A, Olympics, and TEMS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of the financial markets: structure, function and legal/regulatory environment as well as industry knowledge
- Basic understanding of relevant products and services for EAM customers, plus valuation principles
- Very good English skills (spoken and written) and other languages depending on market requirements
Education & experience
- A good university degree in finance, economics or a related subject
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a private banking structure
- Understanding of the EAM industry, business requirements, competitive landscape
- Good product knowledge of private banking solutions, investments, offerings, etc.
- Solid affinity with the geographical market to be covered
- Excellent organizational skills, can work quickly, independently and accurately, even under pressure
- MAS-registered/appointed representative
