Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers in their daily work, administration, and customer service, and interacts with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a high level of service orientation, professional communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers or Group Heads in their day-to-day work, administrative tasks, and client management. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting relationship managers in client interactions and all related tasks
  • Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
  • Managing the Relationship Manager's calendar, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client calls, meetings, or trips
  • Compilation of presentations, support in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities
  • Ensuring coverage in your own absence

management

The Assistant Relationship Manager:
  • regularly collects information relevant to the work
  • conducts reviews, plans and documents his work
  • Supports the Relationship Manager in implementing projects and initiatives
  • provides professional suggestions for improvements based on experience, past incidents, or observations
  • Manages the expense reimbursement process for the relationship manager

Risk management and controls

The Assistant Relationship Manager:
  • actively supports risk management (first line of defense), for example, in client documentation, by raising concerns, tracking issues, and escalating matters when there is uncertainty
  • ensures compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines and standards
  • ensures the timely clarification of outstanding issues and escalated defects
  • ensures appropriate ethical and compatible behavior within his area of responsibility
  • Ensures accurate, meaningful, and understandable documentation of client interactions/client orders in the appropriate tools.

Regulatory responsibilities

The Assistant Relationship Manager:
  • demonstrates appropriate values and behaviors, including standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

The Assistant Relationship Manager should:

Professional and technical skills

The Assistant Relationship Manager should:
  • have a good understanding of relevant products and services in private banking
  • have a fundamental understanding of global financial markets and current developments in the industry
  • have a strong understanding of the markets in question, i.e., be familiar with the legal and regulatory environment and possess cultural sensitivity
