Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers in their day-to-day work, administrative tasks, and client service, and interacts with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a strong service orientation, good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) / Group Heads (GH) in daily operations, administration, and client management. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting RMs/GH in client interactions and all related tasks
  • Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
  • Managing the calendars of RMs/GH, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client visits
  • Compilation of presentations, support in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities
  • Ensuring coverage during your own absences

Client Administration and Management

The ARM supports RMs/GHs in client interactions and manages related tasks, such as:
  • Customization of client requests
  • Management of the RMs/GH Calendar
  • Preparing for client meetings and organizing business trips

Business Management

The ARM:
  • regularly collects relevant information
  • conducts reviews, plans, and documents their work
  • assists RMs/GH in implementing projects and initiatives
  • provides professional input and suggestions for improvements
  • manages the expense reimbursement process for RMs/GH

Risk Management and Controls

The ARM:
  • actively supports risk management (first line of defense)
  • ensures compliance with local regulations and internal policies
  • ensures the timely clarification of open issues and escalated defects
  • ensures appropriate ethical and compliant conduct within his or her area of responsibility

Requirements

The ARM should:

Professional and technical skills

The ARM should:
  • have adequate knowledge of relevant private banking products and services
  • have a fundamental understanding of global financial markets and current developments in the industry
  • have a strong understanding of the geographic market it serves
