Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers in their day-to-day work, administrative tasks, and client service, and interacts with internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves assisting with the implementation of client solutions and ensuring a high standard of service quality.

Tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) / Group Heads (GH) in daily operations, administration, and client management. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting RMs/GH in client interactions and all related tasks
  • Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
  • Managing RM/GH's calendar, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and handling client calls, meetings, or business trips
  • Support for RM/GH in investment proposals and marketing activities
  • Ensuring coverage in your own absence

Business Management

The ARM:
  • regularly collects information relevant to the work
  • conducts reviews, plans and documents his work
  • assists RM/GH in implementing projects and initiatives
  • offers professional suggestions for improvements
  • manages the expense reporting process for RM/GH

Risk management and controls

The ARM:
  • actively helps with risk management (first line of defense)
  • ensures compliance with local regulations and internal policies and standards
  • ensures the timely clarification of open issues and escalated defects
  • ensures ethical and compliant behavior within his or her area of responsibility
  • ensures accurate and clear documentation of client interactions

Regulatory responsibilities

The ARM:
  • demonstrates appropriate values and behavior
  • demonstrates honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment of customers, conflict management, competence, and continuous development

Requirements

The ARM should:
  • Be open, approachable, and interested in people and process improvements
  • always communicate competently and professionally

Professional and technical skills

The ARM should:
  • have a good understanding of relevant private banking products and services
  • have a fundamental understanding of global financial markets and current developments in the industry
