Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers in their day-to-day work, administrative tasks, and client service, and interacts with internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves assisting with the implementation of customized solutions for clients and taking responsibility for the quality of services.

Tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers or Group Heads in day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and client management. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting relationship managers in client interactions and all related tasks
  • Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
  • Managing the calendar of the Relationship Manager / Group Head, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client calls, meetings, or business trips
  • Compilation of presentations, support in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities
  • Ensuring coverage in your own absence

management

The Assistant Relationship Manager:
  • regularly collects information relevant to the work
  • conducts reviews, plans and documents his work
  • assists the Relationship Manager / Group Head in implementing projects and initiatives
  • provides professional suggestions for improvements based on experience, incidents, or observations
  • manages the expense reimbursement process for the Relationship Manager / Group Head

Risk management and controls

The Assistant Relationship Manager:
  • actively assists with risk management (first line of defense), e.g., in client documentation, by raising concerns, tracking issues, and escalating in cases of uncertainty
  • ensures compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines and standards
  • ensures the timely clarification of outstanding issues and escalated defects
  • ensures appropriate ethical and compatible behavior within his area of responsibility
  • ensures that client interactions and client orders are documented accurately, clearly, and comprehensively in the appropriate tools

Regulatory responsibilities

The Assistant Relationship Manager:
  • demonstrates appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment (equitable treatment of customers), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

  • have a strong affinity for the geographic markets covered, i.e., be familiar with the legal and regulatory environment and possess cultural sensitivity
