Assistant Relationship Manager

The position as Assistant Relationship Manager at Julius Baer in Geneva involves supporting relationship managers in serving private clients and coordinating internal and external activities. The assistant should have a basic understanding of financial markets and a strong client-oriented mindset.

Tasks

The Assistant supports the team and Relationship Managers (RMs) in handling all inquiries from private clients regarding trading and operational matters, with the aim of ensuring smooth operations and prompt, accurate, and comprehensive responses. The Assistant actively participates in ongoing communication with RMs and coordinates effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders in the context of client-related activities.

Your challenge

  • Customer administration and management: Supporting the RM and the team in all aspects of customer interaction
  • Answering incoming calls and taking prompt action
  • Supporting the RM in all KYC and onboarding matters
  • Maintaining and updating customer instructions, details, and preferences
  • Creation of system-based reports for RM
  • Provision of verbal and/or written information and data to customers without providing advice or value judgments

management

  • Organization and follow-up of customer meetings, including logistics and document preparation
  • Supporting the RM in investigations and troubleshooting, while maintaining close internal cooperation between teams and units

Risk management

  • Full compliance with regulations, laws, internal rules, regulations, and guidelines
  • Serves as the first line of defense against risks by reporting concerns, tracking issues, and escalating as necessary

Your profile

  • Basic knowledge of financial markets: structure, function, and legal/regulatory environment, as well as industry knowledge
  • Strong integrity, ethics, and risk awareness, combined with a solid customer-oriented mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to work quickly, independently, and accurately, even under pressure
  • Business proficiency in English and French (both spoken and written) and other languages as required by market demands
