Assistant Relationship Manager

The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager to support the Relationship Manager and Group Head in daily operations, administration, client care, and relationship management. The successful candidate should have good communication skills, a proactive attitude, and experience in private banking.

Tasks

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) supports the Relationship Manager (RM) and Group Head (GH) in daily operations, administration, customer service, and relationship management. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the RM/GH in customer interaction and all related tasks
  • Customization of customer inquiries (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
  • Managing the RM/GH calendar to prepare for client meetings and organize business trips
  • Preparation of presentations, support in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities
  • Ensuring coverage during absence

Business Management

The ARM is responsible for:
  • Regular collection and exchange of relevant information
  • Organizing your own work to be efficient and compliant
  • Conducting reviews, preparing and documenting work
  • Supporting the RM/GH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Provision of professional input and suggestions for improvements

Regulatory Responsibilities / Risk Management & Controls

The ARM is responsible for:
  • Active support in risk management (first line of defense)
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines and standards
  • Prompt clarification of outstanding tasks and escalated defects
  • Ensuring appropriate ethical and compliant behavior

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Customer focus and good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers in their native language
  • High self-motivation, positivity, and proactive attitude
  • Understanding of execution and back-office functions as well as legal and compliance-related procedures
