Job Description, Key Responsibilities & Skills

  • The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) serves as a vital link connecting clients with their assigned Baers. The ARM proactively works to meet clients’ business objectives, drives and deepens the business relationship, builds trust, confidence, reputation, and loyalty, and serves as the client’s key point of contact with the wealth management team.

Client Administration and Management

  • Provides high-quality, precise, and timely support to RM/OFAs in client interactions and all related tasks (processes, systems, workflows, documents, etc.) as appropriate
  • Customizes client materials (portfolios, statistics, routings, etc.)
  • Manages the RM/OFAs' calendars, prepares client events, organizes business trips, handles the administrative tasks associated with client calls and meetings (e.g., estate and succession planning and portfolio review meetings), creates event summaries and consolidates them, and ensures that all procedures are completed in a timely manner
  • Organizes introductions, creates and maintains marketing materials, and keeps accurate records for client service reporting (meetings, inquiries, issues, emails, etc.)
  • Ensures timely and ethical conduct

Business Management

  • Assists clients and colleagues in sharing information relevant to the job
  • Conducts reviews, plans, and fosters in-depth discussions through work
  • Supports RM/OFAs in implementing projects and initiatives, as requested and directed by the Business Strategy Team
  • Provides professional feedback and suggestions for improvement based on expertise, client outcomes, and observable behavior
  • Manages the experience claims process via MBLight

Performance Management and Certificates

  • Actively helps manage risk (risks related to the first line of defense) at all levels of communication by raising concerns, reporting issues, and taking responsibility for risks
  • Identifies potential risks and opportunities to improve existing processes, and assesses the effective functioning of the organization's credit system (e.g., credit system development, credit scoring, agreement execution, monitoring of client risk profiles and upgrades, at all levels of client interactions) in collaboration with the respective RM/OFAs, as well as other RM/OFAs or BAERS
  • Ensures a thorough understanding of policies and the analysis of required documentation
  • Ensures the management of assigned risk profiles and follow-up on recommendations
  • It is an essential part of the bank's overall approach to providing a comprehensive view of interconnected control areas related to the corresponding role (e.g., AML, KYC)
