Assistant Relationship Manager
The Assistant Relationship Manager position in Hong Kong supports Relationship Managers in client service, onboarding, and providing personalized banking solutions for private clients. The candidate is also responsible for coordinating client inquiries, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with business planning and risk management processes.
About the Role
- The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) for Private Banking supports the new Relationship Managers on our team by providing client services and delivering personalized banking solutions to our retail clients.

Credit Administration & Management
- Provides support to RM/BR in client onboarding and all related credit processes, reviews, loan documents, etc., while maintaining high-quality standards and service requirements.
- Coordinate client requests, including rebalancing, transactions, and other service requests, for our client base.
- Supports clients and senior colleagues.
- Develops plans, including detailed business plans, and assumes responsibility for new initiatives or areas of expertise in collaboration with the respective Head of IRM.
- Ensures client retention and the documentation of client retention services for the corresponding year in an ARS (SAR).
Business Performance
- Develops and manages relevant behavioral measures for the job.
- Stays informed about all of the company's standards and applicable regulations.
- Coordinates meetings, plans, and documents both in-person interactions and online interactions.
- Supports the preparation of annual meetings, including requirements, report structure, and presentations.
- Prepares support reports for HR, compliance, and regulatory matters as directed by the team.
Risk Management & Controls
- Supports work within key processes (e.g., maintaining documentation, monitoring, and following up on issues, including those that are pending and/or require special consideration).
- Ensures compliance with local regulations and with client expectations and standards (e.g., know your customer, AML, etc.).
- Supports the review process and is familiar with the respective Head of IRM.
- Supports collaborative and functional monitoring through compliance monitoring.
- Ensures that documentation of client retention services is maintained for the client and/or customer in the corresponding year in accordance with ARS (SAR).
Requirements
- Proven ability with significant commercial experience, i.e., familiarity with internal risk management processes and/or other relevant organizational standards.
- Understanding of how various organizational standards interact.
- Basic knowledge of global financial markets and current trends in the industry.
- Well-versed and holding a degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant client service requirements for Business Review, as well as an understanding of operations and field office processes in accordance with legal and compliance procedures.
- A proven track record of achieving sustainable growth, sales, market share, reputation, and/or value for executive stakeholders.
- A strong academic record and additional expertise in banking systems.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of financial products and investment products.
- Inconsistent business and organizational culture, and a team player for complex and technical processes.
