Assistant Relationship Manager
Johua Bar is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager in Singapore to support the Relationship Managers in client service, administration, and compliance within the wealth management division. The candidate should have a basic understanding of financial markets as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to navigate a regulated environment.
Tasks
- Provides high-quality, precise, and timely support to Relationship Managers (RMs) in their interactions with clients and in addressing ad hoc issues (systems, procedures, files, documents, etc.)
- Tailors responses to customer inquiries (variety, explanations, notifications, etc.)
- Manages the RM-GM's calendars (prepares clients, organizes business trips, and follows up on client calls, client meetings, or ad hoc events)
- Maintains relationships, provides training, initiates training preparations, and collaborates to support the delivery of customer services (support, teamwork, task completion, events, etc.)
- Ensures that customer contact information is fully set up
- Regularly gathers and shares information relevant to the job
- Implements audit plans and coordinates the results with:
- Supports the RMs/GMs in implementing projects and initiatives, as agreed upon with the Team Business Manager
- Provides professional, well-founded suggestions for improvements based on experience, recent incidents, or observations
- Manages feedback from the job and reports to the RMs/Unit
- Actively helps monitor job support for first-line defense or in customer documentation by providing training content and updating trainee responsibilities and duties, wherever it is appropriate for both parties
- Actively participates in the periodic review process for client-related matters, including asset protection and preparedness (e.g., legal matters, insurance coverage, contractual restrictions, investment plans, phone calls or communications at every level of client engagement), in collaboration with the respective relationship managers, the unit staff, and the audit team
- Ensures that outstanding issues are thoroughly resolved and that the process is properly documented
- Ensures that company policies are followed throughout the area of responsibility
- Setup and maintenance of internal transaction documentation for user-specific transaction actions at the appropriate points (e.g., ARM)
- Documentation of the values and standards established by the company in accordance with the standards for honesty, diligence, and conscientiousness; proper business conduct; fair handling of conflicts of interest; competence and continuous development; appropriate time management; and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Requirements
- A thorough understanding of the relevant guidelines and rules in private banking
- Basic knowledge of global financial markets and current developments in the industry
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with a pragmatic mindset; up-to-date, calm, familiar with a fast-paced and regulated environment, and detail-oriented
- Authorized representative pursuant to MAS RM ARMA PIA
