Assistant Relationship Manager
Julius Baer is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager in Geneva to support experienced Relationship Managers in client service, administration, and compliance. The role involves coordinating client inquiries, managing appointments and documents, and ensuring a high level of service in private banking.
Tasks
- Supports Relationship Managers (RMs) and Experienced Relationship Managers (ERiMs) in customer interactions and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents)
- Handles specific, urgent, and/or time-sensitive tasks
- Coordinates customer inquiries (purchases/sales, rotations, strategic ideas, etc.)
- Manages the RMs'/ERiMs' calendars, schedules meetings, organizes business trips, and handles the preliminary processing of client and asset management documents (AON, AML)
- Coordinates preparations, provides support, and drafts investment recommendations and marketing activities (articles, customer marketing, meetings, business trips, etc.)
- Ensures that someone is available to cover for absences
- Regularly gather and analyze relevant information resources for the work
- Coordinates contacts and creates and drafts documents for the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARiM)
- Supports RMs/ERiMs in implementing projects and initiatives in coordination with the Group Business Partner
- Develops professional-level suggestions for improvement based on experience, encounters, or situations
- Manages customer social plans for RMs/ERiMs
- Is familiar with banking processes (various lines of business), i.e., customer documentation, investment planning, tracking issues, and ensuring they are accurately recorded
- Assists RMs/ERiMs with operational tasks related to client services, particularly those involving the forwarding of transactions to account officers, the preparation of transactions, the monitoring of client calls, or registration outside one’s area of expertise; transactions are carried out in collaboration with the respective Mi/Fs or the Group Risk Manager
- Ensures the timely receipt and up-to-date documentation of account terms and conditions and account operations, as well as compliance with requests from customers and regulatory authorities
- Ensures clean, standardized, and clear documentation
Requirements
- Adequate understanding of market products and services in private banking
- Expert knowledge of global financial markets and current developments, along with the ability to conduct a primary analysis of the associated opportunities and risk factors (political, economic, environmental, and cultural awareness)
- Proven academic background (preferably a graduate degree or equivalent): Professional background (work experience in the financial sector) or in an advanced academic setting
- Strong language skills (spoken and written), including specific requirements and professional development
- Fluency in one's native language in work situations with complex requirements (understanding new relationships, maintaining and expanding existing ones)
