Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager at Julius Baer in Singapore supports Relationship Managers with client service, administration, and compliance. The role involves tasks related to onboarding, risk management, and coordinating client interactions, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance.

Tasks

  • Supports the RM/CFH in customer acquisition and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents, etc.) by providing high-quality service and strictly adhering to deadlines.
  • Helps customers fill out required forms and letters, answers questions, and signs documents on the spot.
  • Manages communication with the RM/CFH, prepares for client meetings, organizes business trips, handles the preparation and follow-up for new cases, the client review process, and the RM's succession planning.
  • Handles procedures and inquiries related to the preparation of investment proposals and/or marketing activities for newly acquired clients, existing clients, and prospects.
  • Gather feedback and anticipate potential customer intentions.
  • Regularly collect and consolidate relevant information needed for the ARM.
  • Summarizes reviews, plans, and prepares review documents for the ARM.
  • Provides professional suggestions for improvement based on experience, social trends, or innovations.
  • Wait for the workstation for RM/CH.
  • Acts as a supporting component of the RM.
  • Serves as the direct point of contact for contacts/branches.
  • Maintains an active dialogue with the client's key personnel to efficiently coordinate procedures and activities.
  • Initiates and supports risk objectives independently of RM.
  • Ensures compliance with risk regulations and adheres to internal guidelines and standards in day-to-day operations (AML regulations, investment restrictions, investment limits, as well as: daily and once a year, or in consultation with the respective team, SO, or Risk Business Manager).
  • Focuses on the timely identification of pending plans and locked accounts.
  • Reviews client positions, adjusts the portfolio to meet client needs as necessary, and ensures proper implementation.
  • Ensures that customer interactions and product orders are documented correctly, clearly, and comprehensively in the appropriate tool (e.g., CRM DANA).

Requirements

  • A basic understanding of global financial markets and current industry trends.
  • Understanding the key elements of corporate strategies and aligning with the team's strategy.
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to risks (limited to clients and business activities relevant to the employee’s role), i.e., the Code of Conduct and anti-money laundering, FATCA, management of conflicts of interest, and industry best practices, such as acting in the best interests of clients, managing conflicts of interest, and industry best practices.
