Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports the Relationship Manager and Group Head in day-to-day operations, administration, customer service, and relationship management in the area of private banking. The position requires strong communication and customer focus skills, as well as experience in banking, particularly in private banking.

Job description

Tasks

  • Supports the Relationship Manager (RM) and Group Head (GH) in daily operations, administration, customer service, and relationship management
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders, provides relevant information to customers and supports the RM in the implementation of customized solutions

Client Administration & Management

  • Supports RM/GH/UM in customer interactions and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents, etc.) with high quality, precision, and timely responsiveness.
  • Customizes customer requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
  • Manages the RM/GH calendar to prepare for customer meetings, organizes business trips for RM/GH
  • Creates presentations, assists in the development of investment proposals and marketing activities (customer reception, meetings, business trips, events, etc.)
  • Secures the cover in your own absence

Business Management

  • Collects and regularly exchanges relevant information required for the work
  • Organizes themselves in an efficient and compliant manner and ensures that superiors are informed in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Performs checks, plans and documents his work
  • Supports RM/GH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Provides professional contributions/suggestions for improvements based on experience, incidents, or observations.

  • Provides ongoing administrative support:
    • Processes customer order transfers, executes securities, funds, bonds, MM/FX transactions
    • Handles customer queries and resolves them where possible
    • Manages appointment calendars, books customer meetings, assists with event preparation

Identification of opportunities

  • Identifies opportunities for increasing customer share / cross-sales
  • Contacts customers to check satisfaction with service levels and ask about additional needs
  • Carries out search requests if necessary

Regulatory responsibilities/risk management & controls

  • Actively supports risk management (first line of defense), e.g., in customer support, by addressing concerns, tracking issues, and escalating when in doubt.
  • Ensures compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines and standards (e.g., new account openings, payment instructions, review of customer conversations, or approval at one's own level of authority, etc.) in cooperation with the respective RM and CCO.
  • Ensures that pending, escalated, and elevated defects are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensures that appropriate ethical and compliant behavior prevails within his area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that customer interactions/customer orders are documented correctly, meaningfully, and comprehensibly in the appropriate tool (e.g., CRM, DACS).
  • Demonstrates appropriate values and behavior patterns (including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment of client assets), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
