Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports Relationship Managers in client administration, risk management, and regulatory compliance in private banking. This full-time position in Singapore is open to candidates with 1–7 years of experience who have a solid understanding of financial markets and compliance (MAS SFA/FAA).

Tasks

  • Supporting Relationship Managers (RM) with customer administration across all relevant tasks (systems, processes, forms, documents, etc.)
  • Preparation of up-to-date reports; professional and timely execution
  • Ensuring compliance with customer requirements (regulations, KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering))
  • Managing customer relationships (product-focused, regulatory information, communicating how we adequately meet customer needs; customer meetings to address specific needs such as RMA (banking), compliance presentations, supporting the customer’s negotiation process, and suitability analysis (risk definition meeting, shopping guide, customer needs, etc.))
  • Ensuring coverage for at least one week
  • Negotiating services and contracts where information is necessary for the work
  • Support during customer visits, on-site, ad hoc events, and team/sales support
  • Ensure the organization of the RMs or portfolios in close coordination with the Compliance and Legal Support teams
  • Providing professional recommendations for improvement based on experience, market expertise, or estimates
  • Active risk management (to support all members, e.g., customer documentation)
  • Compliance with regulations, information requirements, and effective legal risk management through the use of databases and the Web
  • Support the RM in applying all key internal company procedures (documentation, confirmation, settlement instructions, financing, and other forms of reporting) as well as all
  • Ensuring that all activities are in accordance with applicable rules, guidelines, and the Insurance Manager
  • Processing of bank transfers during the pending period and services rendered
  • Ensuring that the relevant tax laws (e.g., QMA) include an appropriate written and explicit reference to the client’s jurisdiction
