Assistant Relationship Manager
The Assistant Relationship Manager supports the internal Relationship Managers at Julius Baer in Singapore with client acquisition, administration, and the execution of capital markets transactions. The role also includes responsibilities in budget management, compliance, and operational support in private banking.
Tasks
- Supporting in-house Relationship Managers (IRMs) with daily tasks, administrative work, and client acquisition
- Interacting with customers and external and internal contacts; providing advice and information
- Supporting IRMs in Capital Market Transactions and Structuring
- Support for M&A/IRB and non-bank clients (buyers, sponsors, finance, documentation, KYC, legal, operations), as well as the preparation of deal-by-deal memoranda
- Support for Relationship Managers in Market Research and IP During the Implementation of Asset Management
- Supporting relationship managers in adhering to compliance requirements related to business development opportunities
- Managing M&A/IRB emails, e.g., for client meetings, improving business results, etc.
- Providing support with office tasks: lead generation, scheduling phone calls, data entry, calendar management
- Preparing presentations and proposals related to investment proposals, as well as conducting interviews with internal (asset managers, operators, bankers) and external (attorneys, tax experts, IP professionals) partners
- Identification, tracking, and verification of counterparties for the Group’s recommended issuances, such as corporate actions, static and dynamic extensions, and match fee structures
- Support the IRM in implementing projects and initiatives in accordance with the team's implementation plan
- Providing professional recommendations for improvement based on parameters such as the market, costs involved, or opportunities
- Management of the Expense Reporting Process for M&A/IR
- Providing assistance regarding the customer's Kuppakon file, e.g., for documents and corporate actions; following an issuance email and confirmation that was sent
- Support and develop the KR's expertise to work with the department's internal systems, e.g., new proposals/solutions for document management, contracts, operations, capital, ratings, or similar areas
- Improving risk management within the risk management system (KRMS) for management and compliance, e.g.:
- Assessment and measurement of opportunities and documentation of customers
- Ensuring optimal tracking and smooth operational processes to guarantee the service's availability
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable supporting information, such as reviewing/monitoring the latest issuances in the relevant country (e.g., DMA, BOND)
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of compliance issues and practices, including debt and balance sheet financing, and ensure that all due diligence measures related to the settlement of country positions (KYC), the management of conflicts of interest, compliance, and corporate conduct, as well as the documentation of management and client interests, are carried out in accordance with all compliance requirements and internal and external standards
