Assistant Relationship Manager

The position of Assistant Relationship Manager at Julius Baer in Singapore involves providing operational support to Relationship Managers in the areas of client management, banking operations, and business development. In addition, the role includes responsibilities in risk management, compliance (including MiFID II and AML), and documentation.

Tasks

  • Supporting Relationship Managers (RMs) in working with existing and potential clients (companies, individuals, businesses, startups, and both private and institutional clients).
  • Assisting the administrative/secretarial team with the following tasks:
    • Coordination with the customer regarding document transfers
    • Requirements for Investment Documents
  • Handling the RM's daily banking transactions, such as outgoing bank transactions and payment processing.
  • Assisting customers during business hours and responding to their inquiries (in accordance with company guidelines).
  • Handling recurring/incoming calls.
  • Managing the RM's calendar, scheduling appointments, organizing business trips, finalizing presentations of financial reports, providing client reports, and participating in training sessions.
  • Coordinating investments, assisting with the preparation of investment proposals, and arranging for the execution of instructions (ensuring that they are carried out properly).
  • Execution of instructions and market orders.
  • Regularly collect and catalog relevant information and feedback from the customer.
  • Support for business events and welcoming/hosting private investment meetings with key individuals.
  • Carrying out the work and analyzing private clients' portfolios in collaboration with the team.
  • Contribute to the process of updating analyses and developing new products.
  • Providing professional client solutions for implementing business plans, such as stocks, asset allocation, or investments.
  • Management of the associate team member for M&A/HSM.
  • Handling banking monitoring tasks (with support from an Associate/MD), such as those related to new client files and monitoring compliance with established risk limits at the client level. As an ARM, a plan for appropriate credit utilization is provided.
  • Conducting investigations and preparing reports on customer complaints independently, in accordance with the Executive Board's guidelines.
  • Review of the quality of the loan documentation.
  • Identification of unusual transactions, suspicious transactions, and non-standard terms and conditions, and reporting them to the RM.
  • Ensuring the process, monitoring, and understanding of the Group’s product documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable MiFID II, SEPA, and AML regulations.
  • Management of documented work lists and customer documentation for internal customer data.
  • Support with financial reporting and regulatory compliance (SEC / FINMA).
