Assistant Relationship Manager
The Assistant Relationship Manager supports one or more Relationship Managers in their daily work, administration, and customer service, and interacts with internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes assisting with the implementation of customized solutions for customers and ensuring a high quality of service.
Tasks
The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) / Group Heads (GH) in daily operations, administration, and client management. Responsibilities include:- Supporting RMs/GHs in client interaction and all related tasks
- Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
- Managing the RM/GH's calendar, preparing client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client calls, meetings, and trips
- Compilation of presentations, support in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities
- Ensuring coverage during absence
management
The ARM:- regularly collects information relevant to the work
- conducts reviews, plans and documents his work
- Supports the RM/GH in implementing projects and initiatives in close coordination with the Business Manager team
Risk management and controls
The ARM:- actively assists with risk management (first line of defense), e.g., in client documentation, by raising concerns, tracking issues, and escalating in cases of uncertainty
- ensures compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines and standards
- ensures the timely clarification of open issues and escalated defects
- ensures appropriate ethical and compliant behavior within his area of responsibility
Regulatory responsibilities
The ARM:- Demonstrates appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
The ARM should:- Be highly service-oriented and passionate about client care.
- have a systematic, precise, and conscientious approach to work and the ability to work under pressure
- demonstrate personal integrity and ethical behavior
Professional and technical skills
The ARM should:- have adequate knowledge of the relevant products and services in private banking
- have a fundamental understanding of global financial markets and current developments in the industry
- Have a solid affinity with the geographic market (e.g., familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment and cultural awareness)
