Assistant Relationship Manager

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports Relationship Managers and Group Head in daily operations, administrative tasks and analytical and research work to ensure a high quality of service to clients. The position is based in the back office of Client Relationship Management and requires experience in the private banking industry.

Job description: Assistant Relationship Manager

Tasks

  • Support Relationship Managers (RM(s)) and Group Head (GH) in daily operations, administrative tasks and ad hoc analysis and research
  • Preparation of presentations, organization of meetings, events and business trips
  • Coordination of customer inquiries (reporting, invoicing, correspondence, etc.)
  • Management of appointment calendars and preparation of customer meetings
  • Follow-up on customer discussions, meetings or business trips
  • Preparation of presentations, support in the preparation of investment proposals and marketing activities
  • Ensuring representation in the absence of team members

Business Management

  • Collecting and exchanging relevant information
  • Organization and communication in an efficient and compliant manner
  • Overview of current projects and tasks
  • Conducting reviews, planning and documenting the work
  • Support with the implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Creation of proposals for improvements

Regulatory Responsibilities & Risk Management & Controls

  • Support with risk management (first line of defense)
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ensuring the prompt clarification of open points and defects
  • Ensuring appropriate ethical and compliant behavior
  • Control, monitoring and documentation of customer interactions

Requirements

Personal and social

  • Customer orientation and good communication skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers in the customer's native language
  • High self-motivation, positive attitude and proactive approach
  • Understanding of execution and back office processes as well as legal and compliance procedures
  • Ability to work proactively and work under pressure
  • Good learning ability and team orientation
  • Excellent training, preferably with the ability to work with RM(s) and clients from diverse backgrounds

Professional and technical

  • Familiarity with the geographical market, legal and regulatory environment and culture/infrastructure
  • Good understanding of relevant products and services in private banking
  • Basic knowledge of global financial markets and current developments in the industry
  • Proven experience in supporting banking clients with complex needs
  • Academic degree in Finance, Economics or a related subject
  • At least 5 years' experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a private bank or similar institution
  • CAGS Papers 1 and 2
  • Preferably CFA/MPAS Level I, II, III or CFA certification
  • Working knowledge of TIB, Cognos and TMDBS
