Assistant Relationship Manager, Private Banking - Germany & Austria

The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Assistant Relationship Manager for Private Banking in Germany and Austria to support a Relationship Manager in their day-to-day work and assist with client management. The ideal candidate should have experience in the financial sector, a strong service orientation, and the ability to work under pressure.

About the job

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) in Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Managers (RM) or Team Heads (TH) with day-to-day operations, administration, client care, and relationship management.

Tasks

The main tasks include:
  • Supporting RMs/THs in client interactions and all related tasks
  • Customization of client requests (reporting, statistics, meetings, etc.)
  • Managing the calendars of RMs/THs, preparing for client meetings, organizing business trips, and following up on client calls, meetings, or business trips
  • Creating presentations, assisting with the preparation of investment proposals, and supporting marketing activities
  • Ensuring coverage during your own absences

Business tasks

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Regular collection and exchange of relevant information
  • Organization in an efficient and compliant manner
  • Conducting reviews, planning, and documenting the work
  • Support for RM/TH in the implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Providing professional suggestions for improvements
  • Administration of the expense accounting process for RMs/TH

Risk management and controls

The position also includes:
  • Active support in risk management (first line of defense)
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies and standards
  • Ensuring the timely clarification of open issues and escalated defects
  • Ensuring appropriate ethical and compliant behavior
  • Ensuring accurate and clear documentation of client interactions
