The Assistant Relationship Manager supports Relationship Managers and Team Heads in daily operations, administration, client service and relationship management. The position requires a banking apprenticeship and at least 3 years experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a bank or financial institution.

Job description

Tasks

  • Supports Relationship Managers (RM)/ Team Heads (TH) in their daily work, administration, customer care and relationship management
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders, provides relevant information to customers and assists with:
    • Customer interactions and associated tasks (systems, processes, files, documents, etc.) with high quality, precision and prompt responsiveness
    • Individualization of customer inquiries (reporting, statistics, mailings, etc.)
    • Management of RM/TH's calendar; preparation of customer meetings, organization of business trips, follow-up of customer meetings or business trips for RM/TH
    • Compilation of presentations, drafting of investment proposals (client receptions, meetings, business trips, events, etc.)
    • Ensuring coverage in your own absence
    • Active support in risk management (first line of defense), e.g. in customer documentation, by addressing concerns, tracking issues and escalating when in doubt
    • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards (e.g. opening new accounts, payment instructions, review of client meetings or approval at own competence level etc.) in cooperation with the respective RM and TA
    • Ensuring the prompt clarification of open issues and escalated defects
    • Ensuring appropriate ethical and compliant behavior in his area of responsibility
    • Ensuring correct, meaningful and comprehensible documentation of customer interactions/customer orders in the relevant tool (e.g. CRM, DIAS)

Requirements

  • Banking apprenticeship
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a bank or financial institution
  • Knowledge and business competence in global financial markets, interest in market developments and industry trends
  • Good understanding of relevant products, services and tools in private banking
  • Proven experience in serving banking clients with complex needs (onboarding new clients, maintaining and expanding existing relationships)
  • Several years of experience in compliance topics and knowledge of current regulations and KYC requirements
