The Associate - Corporate Development (M&A) & Strategy job at Alantra involves the execution of corporate development and M&A transactions as well as the development of strategic plans for various business units. The Associate will assist in analyzing companies, preparing presentations and communicating with investors and senior management.

Tasks
- Corporate Development (In-house M&A team): Execution of all types of transactions (acquisitions, capital increases, joint ventures etc.) - more than 30 deals analyzed/executed during 2023. You will analyze companies and prepare drafts and reviews of execution documents and other deliverables such as proposals, IMs, financial models, due diligence and legal contracts. This position will also support senior team members in meetings with counterparties, deal negotiations, valuation, transaction structuring, etc.
- Strategy: Preparation and implementation of strategic plans for each of the different business units, including analysis of business performance, market dynamics, competitive trends, etc.
- You will be responsible for preparing presentations for the company's senior managers (Supervisory Board and Executive Committees).
- Investor Relations: Supporting the Head of IR in attending events with investors, preparing presentations and results as well as campaign material.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in strategic consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development or transaction services of top companies.
- Strong academic background from top business or engineering schools.
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills - familiarity with financial models and knowledge of valuation methods.
- High technical skills, ability to digest large amounts of complex information.
- Proven strategic and creative thinking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage an independent work stream in the context of a wider team project.

- Flawless communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
