Associate Credit Trader
As an Associate Credit Trader, you will be responsible for managing discretionary credit and systematic macro trading books and will assist in the implementation of trading strategies and the optimization of trading platforms and technologies. You will work closely with the investment teams to implement trading strategies and analyze the market.

About the role
The Global Trading Team maximizes execution alpha within the investment process through market knowledge, trading operations, technology, and TCA. The Global Trading Team manages alpha generation across multiple asset classes, primarily through systematic, discretionary, and TCA.
Main tasks
- Primarily supporting the management of our discretionary credit trading strategies by maximizing our execution platform and technology. Expansion into systematic macro strategies.
- Coordinating the investment management of our discretionary trading portfolio; executing all secondary trading activities.
- Communication and partnership with investment teams in the implementation of execution strategies.
- Support in identifying improvements in signal development, portfolio construction, risk management, and trade initiation.
- Promoting the development of our trading platforms, infrastructure, and technology.
- Monitoring the performance and statistical analysis of our discretionary trading strategies.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with our key counterparties.
- Gathering market information from vendors/data providers on market movements, flows, and liquidity opportunities to inform the investment team about market dynamics.
- Monitoring internal trading limits and other restrictions on the scope of delegated authority to trade on behalf of discretionary funds/clients.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of trading experience at a financial institution or relevant technical experience in the credit sector.
- Programming skills in a high-level language such as Python are required.
- Knowledge of trading in various credit instruments (e.g., cash credit) and/or experience in single name corporate credit (SNC, HY, EM, cash C&S, converts, loans, ABS).
- Strong academic background and a degree from a leading university.
- Practical and positive attitude, adaptability, and resilience.
- Strong drive: exceptional performance and results-oriented.
- Attention to detail and disciplined. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to remain calm and focused.
- Intellectually robust with a creative/quantitative approach to problem solving. Curious, entrepreneurial, and innovative, willing to engage with technology and projects across the company.
