About the role

Associate Credit Trader: You will help manage our systematic and discretionary credit trading strategies and support the development of a world-class trading platform for our company. You will be part of a multi-asset systematic and algorithmic trading platform and provide credit trading liquidity.

Key tasks

  • Primarily assist in managing our discretionary and systematic credit trading strategies by maximizing our technological platforms and technologies. You are expected to be an expert in Bloomberg and discretionary strategies. Coordinate the company's participation in primary offerings and secondary markets.
  • Communicate and partner with investment teams to execute trading strategies across global markets and time zones.
  • Contribution to improvements in signal development, portfolio construction, risk management, and trading infrastructure development.
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to improve the performance of our systematic and discretionary strategies.
  • Modifying and maintaining relationships with our counterparties.
  • Gathering market information from sellers/traders about market movements, flows, and liquidity opportunities to support investment teams in making informed decisions.
  • Interacting with portfolio managers to inform them about names that affect their respective portfolios.
  • Communication with various quotation systems and market data feeds.
  • Determining the appropriateness of execution venues for specific trades.
  • Support in the execution of services and progress.
  • Implementation of execution strategies and other directives within the scope of delegated authority to act on behalf of the designated company/client.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of trading experience at a financial institution or relevant technical experience in the credit sector.
  • Advanced skills in programming languages such as Python.
  • Strong understanding of structured credit mechanisms.
  • Ability to find and articulate ideas, but also involvement with invested technologies and projects across the company.
  • Strong technical skills from a coding background, leading to a strong understanding.
  • Reliable with data and dependent. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to think quickly.
  • Resilient and flexible; a sharp analytical approach to problem solving. Curious, entrepreneurial, and innovative; willing to get involved with technology or projects across the company.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build constructive collaboration across investment management teams and regions.
  • Clear, precise, and transparent communicator.
  • Team player; collaborative; customer-focused and results-oriented.

Salary and benefits

The expected salary range for this position is:

  • US pay range: $100,000 - $200,000 USD
