Associate Cross-Asset Trader

The Associate Cross-Asset Trader at Man Group supports the investment department by executing trades and developing trading strategies. The position requires trading experience, programming skills, and strong analytical abilities to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Execution and Order Placement for Man's Investment Engines
  • Compliance with the regulatory and legal framework
  • Understanding and adherence to Man's Global Compliance Guidelines and internal procedures
  • Monitoring and Improving Execution Processes
  • Analysis and continuous improvement of execution processes
  • Application of quantitative methods and trading experience to determine the optimal trading strategy
  • Assessment and Monitoring of Broker-Counterparty Performance
  • Improvements in trading technology and tools

Requirements

The requirements are:
  • 1–3 years of trading experience at a financial institution or relevant technical experience
  • Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python and SGD
  • Understanding Market Microstructure
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to engage with technology and projects
  • Strong academic background and a degree from a leading university
  • Attention to detail and discipline; ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Intellectually strong and analytical; curious, entrepreneurial, and innovative
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with investment management teams and regional offices
  • Team player; collaborative, customer-focused, and results-oriented
  • Strong proficiency in Mandarin (both written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel and work out of our Shanghai office
