BlackRock is seeking a candidate for the position of Associate in the Data Management department who will be responsible for maintaining data quality and integrity and implementing data governance standards. The new employee will work in the Private Markets Data Governance and Master Data Management team.

About this role

BlackRock Aladdin Data is responsible for managing all data that is essential to BlackRock's investment decision-making process and the Aladdin investment and operating platforms. Data is at the heart of the Aladdin business. We are currently looking for an Associate to join our Private Markets Data Governance and Master Data Management team, part of our Private Markets Data team.

Tasks

  • Assistance in establishing policies and standards for data collected by PDS operations teams, including maintaining our data dictionaries and data collection methods.
  • Ensuring that the data collected by the operations teams is of the highest quality by using data quality checks and metrics to proactively and consistently measure the quality of data on the platform.
  • Implementation of practices to improve measurement and feedback processes for customers.
  • Creation of reports to measure data quality and operator effectiveness.
  • Participation in data sampling and other projects to improve overall data quality.
  • Collaborate with customer account management teams to address customer concerns and educate customers about data quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree (preferably) in economics, organizational systems, computer science, or related fields (preferred).
  • Advanced user with MS OFF (V-lookups, macros).
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and often in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial services or data management.
