Associate, Discretionary Investment Specialists

Purpose of the role

Overall responsibility for creating investment content across a group of Man Group's private credit funds. Daily work includes designing and continuously evaluating investment strategies and effectively creating materials. These materials must be produced regularly for our institutional and individual credit banks. An important aspect of the role is developing deep and creative relationships with the relevant private credit investment analysts and CVM teams and positioning yourself as a reliable source for sales on the list of covered funds. The successful candidate will be expected to produce high-quality, professional materials quickly, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive range of investment documentation, including fund marketing (new product launches, monthly performance reports, technical content, and sales support materials)
• Designing compelling and differentiated product messages to position strategies competitively (including investment ideas) and creating presentation documents for internal and external stakeholders (including customers)
• Communication about specific market events, performance updates, and product milestones
• Collaborate with credit risk management teams (including origination, credit risk, and portfolio management) across the enterprise to support robust and effective investment decisions
• Preparation of service documentation to provide capabilities and offerings
• Identifying opportunities and initiating projects where investment services can add value to portfolio management and the company as a whole
• Ensuring that all marketing materials and messages are integrated into all materials
• Acting as an ambassador for the internal investment service and as a positive role model for younger team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. CFA, CIMAS, or IMC certification is preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience in customer or content creation within the industry and a solid understanding of investment management across a range of asset classes preferred
• Strong understanding of investment management to support sales priorities
• Communication skills, both written and verbal. Understanding of investment jargon and technical terms.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage a range of tasks and deadlines
• Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy
