Associate, Discretionary Investment Specialists

Purpose of the role

Man Group's Discretionary Investment specialists are seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team to support investment opportunities and asset management. The investment and portfolio management teams need to be expanded regularly to serve our institutional and private clients. An important aspect of the role is to build deep and credible relationships with the relevant private credit investment and portfolio management teams and to become a key resource for sourcing investment opportunities. The successful candidate will focus on generating high-quality and professional investment ideas.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain comprehensive investment materials, including fund marketing, opinion pieces, and sales support content - Source, evaluate, and present product materials to prioritize strategic opportunities with internal and external stakeholders - Providing investment expertise as a subject matter expert, including client meetings, investment updates, and performance milestones - Communicating investment updates and performance milestones - Collaborating with the portfolio management team, CPM, and other key stakeholders to ensure high-quality investment content is part of our strategic quality - Prepare updates and performance reports to showcase fund capabilities and offerings to internal stakeholders - Ensure the latest fund research, analysis, and messaging are incorporated into all materials - Serve as a subject matter expert for 6 months and point of contact for the team's investment strategies

Qualifications

- College degree in a relevant field required; CFA, CAIA, or IMC certification preferred but not required - 2+ years of experience in client or content creation within the industry and a solid understanding of the financial sector; experience in asset management or hedge funds preferred - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Ability to prioritize tasks to support sales priorities - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; knowledge of institutional/technical jargon - Ability to think and work independently, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy

Compensation and benefits
