Job description

As a member of the Business and Investment Production Support (BIPS) team, the Associate Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the infrastructure processes that ensure the investment process runs smoothly. This includes monitoring and providing technical support for various processes such as database tasks, modeling tools, reporting, and analysis.

Tasks

- Control M Scheduling: Creating and refining standards within the Control M scheduling software. - Metadata Migration: Implementing new models and visualizations in the production environment. - Production Monitoring: Overseeing the production environment and troubleshooting real-time issues with various data and metrics. - Technical Coordination: Collaborating with developers to align schedules with code changes, releases, and drift analysis. - Incident Management: Troubleshooting and resolving incidents, coordinating with necessary teams, including database administrators, technology groups, and asset managers. - Change management: Adhering to change management best practices to review, test, and implement changes. - Release management: Executing weekly release processes, transitioning code changes from the staging to the production environment. - Process Improvement: Recommend and implement workflow improvements, enhancements, and adaptations to business requirements. - On-Call Duties: Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call responsibilities on a weekly rotation, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - Strong programming skills in one or more languages. - Experience with Unix/Linux environments. - Experience with support management tools and coordinating code changes. - Understanding of incident management frameworks and best practices. - Understanding of relational database concepts.

- Degree in computer science or a related STEM field. - Experience working in a production environment with tight deadlines. - Experience implementing new tools and ControlM. - Experience with support management tools or incident management. - Understanding of data lines.
