Job description
As a member of the Business and Investment Production Support (BIPS) team, the Associate Engineer plays a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining the company’s automated production processes. This includes working closely with the technology and production support teams. The ideal candidate should be a strong team player, have experience in production support environments, and be proficient in technologies such as database jobs, modeling tools, scripting, and analytics.Tasks
- Control-M Scheduling: Establish and enforce standards within the Control-M Scheduling software.
- Model/Simulation Integration: Deploying new models and simulators into the production environment.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor the production environment and use technology components and applications to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Export Control: Attend weekly meetings to prioritize and assign case work, including schedules, data, and code changes.
- Schedule Coordination: Collaborate with developers to confirm schedule changes and code modifications, coordinate configuration changes with technology and plant production teams, and coordinate with stakeholders to review production timelines, potential delays, and test and production changes.
- Incident Management: Triage, track, and manage production incidents; coordinate with technology teams; document updates and progress; and escalate issues to senior management as needed.
- Change Management: Support the change management process to review, test, and implement changes.
- Process Management: Focus on weekly "Value-at-Risk" reporting and conduct daily/weekly analyses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical and computer skills.
- Experience with software change management tools and components.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Python programming.
