About this role
The Accounting Group provides accounting and reporting services to over 30 accounting clients. We provide services including the preparation of monthly accounting packages and quarterly footnote schedules, cash and position reconciliations, and portfolio performance evaluations. The Reconciliation Associate will be responsible for performing daily accounting tasks for the position, resolving accounting differences, preparing reconciliations and performing account analysis to ensure the integrity of processes in a timely manner.Main tasks
- Completion of daily position and account reconciliations and preparation of daily/periodic data metrics and analysis activities.
- Provide high quality client queries, perform control testing and monitoring tasks for clients and internal BlackRock partners.
- Prepare and/or review reconciliations between BlackRock Accounting, Middle Office and Control Groups. Preparing research to resolve differences and resolving them in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform ongoing maintenance on existing accounts to reflect customer or account level changes.
- Collaborate with external service providers, internal team members and technology groups to resolve identified issues.
Requirements
- The ability to prioritize and balance multiple requests without losing sight of our overall goals and deadlines.
- Strong decision-making skills to make considered decisions based on the information provided and to request further support when required.
- The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred requirements
- A four-year degree in finance, accounting, information technology or a related field.
- Typically, Associates are able to understand the reconciliation and correlate the impact of changes.
