About this role

The Americas Institutional Business (AIB) helps investors achieve their financial goals and meet their needs through investment management and the maintenance of long-term relationships with pension funds, endowments, foundations and other institutional investors. AIB delivers investment management solutions with a focus on:
  • Distribution
  • Customer service
  • Product development and management

Tasks

The duties of the Associate, Institutional FOHFE:
  • Participate as a key team segment and perform a range of general administrative tasks in support of the Institutional FOHFE sales team
  • Administrative support for the Institutional FOHFE sales team
  • Assistance in the development of sales tools
  • Development and maintenance of databases with customer information
  • Assist in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure investment strategies align with sales objectives
  • Proactive maintenance and development of a list of interested parties
  • Developing asset class expertise across BlackRock's product range, including fixed income, equities, hedge funds, real assets and alternatives
  • Cultivate positive relationships with customers to become the "go-to person" for account-specific information
  • Assistance with investment strategies in the following areas:
    • Fixed-interest securities
    • Shares
    • Alternatives
  • Executing tasks on Bloomberg, FactSet and other applications
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, investment product specialists, compliance officers, advisor relations, operations and portfolio management to ensure a strong presentation of BlackRock's investment capabilities
  • Gather critical data to quickly respond to customer inquiries verbally and in writing
  • Writing and publishing summary notes for client meetings in firm-wide information systems
  • Assistance with the onboarding process for new clients

Requirements

  • An established track record in investment management and the financial markets
  • In-depth industry and investment knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of our company and our products
  • An established network of relationships with:
    • Institutional investors
    • Consultants
  • BA/BS degree in a related field (economics, finance or accounting)
  • Holds or is willing to acquire the CFA, Series 7, 63 and 3 licenses
