Associate, Investment Guidelines Compliance

Our Portfolio Implementation Group (PIGC) is responsible for implementing controls and processes to ensure that we comply with all applicable regulatory and portfolio-specific guidelines.Primary responsibilities
The role involves interpreting and analyzing our clients' investment policies and coding these policies into our compliance system for internal and external clients. Our primary compliance platform is Aladdin, where we code the policies using BlackRock's proprietary coding language, which is similar to SQL. Key responsibilities include:- Aladdin Business Implementation – Management of the compliance channel for the process of coding compliance guidelines for external client Aladdin system implementations.
- Collaborate with Global Implementation Leads and the Change Manager to develop and implement the regional strategy.
- New account coding – Overseeing and supporting the process that requires interfacing with the Investment Guidelines Group (IGG) on the executed Investment Management Agreement (IMA) and implementing the necessary controls through the use of compliance rules in BlackRock's Aladdin platform.
- Policy changes – Monitoring and supporting the process by which a client may change their investment policy provisions over time, based on their preferences or market conditions.
- Creation of new compliance rules – Improvement of existing compliance coding and investigation/troubleshooting of potential errors, if necessary.
Requirements
To be successful, candidates must demonstrate the following skills:- Strong knowledge of Aladdin, including Aladdin applications, trade flow process, and data environment, to execute business processes for Aladdin business clients.
- Strong knowledge of Aladdin compliance tools, including monitoring tools (dashboard), Compliance Research Hub, Compliance Workbench.
- Ability to code compliance rules in Aladdin.
- Strong technical skills, particularly knowledge of programming languages (such as Visual Basic, C++, Java, or Python) and understanding of relational database concepts (including SQL).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and attention to detail.
- Dedicated approach to solving problems.
- Ability to handle complexity and not shy away from difficult questions.
- Professional working knowledge of Japanese and English.
We offer
For Wilmington, DE, the salary range for this position is $82,000.00 - $108,000.00. In addition, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits such as health care, vacation benefits, and retirement benefits.Our services
